Knitting Girls Lovely Black Mystery Scarf Knitting Pattern

Yarn information
- Name: Royaal (Black), Sakia (Grey)
- Fiber content: 100 % acrylic
- Color: Black, Grey
- Weight: 100 grams
- Number of yards/meters per 100 grams: 265 yards /242 meters
- Skeins: a little less than 2 (black), about 10 grams of grey

- Type: Regular Single Pointed Needles
- Size: 4mm / US#6

Gauge
- 2 stitches per cm / 5 stitches per in
- 3.25 rows per cm / 8.26 rows per in

Knitting pattern
Cast on 44 stitches. Knit the whole scarf according to the 10 rows repeat and the color switches below. The 10 row pattern alternates occurring purled stitches throughout the knitted work and creates diagonal lines in the work. Gray striping was used on one side of the scarf to add some color.

Color details
From the start: First 10 rows in main color, next 2 rows in secondary color, next two rows in main color, 8 rows in secondary color, two rows in main color, one row in secondary color, following rows in main color until end. Keep following the 10 row pattern above when interchanging the colors.

Keep following the 10 row pattern until you reach a height of about 180 cm / 70 in, or the length you want your scarf to be.

  1. Really pretty scarf, I'm trying to make it for my husband. Took me a while to figure out the pattern, the first line is missing a K9 and the rest of the odd lines order is reversed in the pattern...
    Should be

    Line 2: P3, K1, P9, K1, P9, K1, P9, K1, P10
    Line 3: P2, K7, P1, K9, P1, K9, P1, K9, P1, K2, P2

  2. Actually the pattern's even rnd is reversed, you probably counted from the RS, forgot the even rnd is knitted from the WS.
