I just realized that I haven't even posted about this project, and I already finished it.
A while ago, I ripped an old grey sweater, because I like the yarn for the texture and softness. I used it to knit a cabled skirt. I never knitted a skirt before, and I had to redo the waist 4 times to get it right, but in the end it worked out. I made a lining this weekend and this is the end result.
My intention was to sew on buttons in the knit patch in the front waist, but I couldn't find any nice ones at our local market.
But then... I discovered this shop on etsy... It is just great! I ended up spending $25 on buttons, ... I know... but they are so pretty... I hope they'll arrive soon :D
I'll show you when I get them ;)
That is really nice!! What does the lining look like?
ReplyDeleteI used smooth black lining fabric. I'll take a picture later ;)
ReplyDeletethat is just amazing what a skirt
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy :) The knitting itself is fairly easy, but I had to redo the waist several times to get the right fit :) But I can't wait for winter to come, so I can wear it :D
